djmustangsally.livejournal.comTo get us in gear for the 50th Anniversary of Trek, we'll have a special challenge for community banners and icons that celebrate the Golden Anniversary of Star Trek.

trekicontest, MUST be on the icon and header. Other text is okay, but the name needs to be there to identify us!
To make this challenge special, your banner and icon must in some way demonstrate your appreciation of Star Trek over the past 50 years. This is a very broad statement, which is intentional. I want you to be creative and wide-reaching, so have fun with it! Show us some Trek love!
Your icons and banners may be related, but they will not be voted on as such. They can complement each other, but it is not necessary.
NOTE: This is an extended challenge - this is not the next weekly challenge. This will be open for several weeks.
Header Challenge
RULES:
- You may enter up to 3 (three) headers for this challenge.
- Only members may enter.
- Use screen captures, promo/actor images, anything Trek related.
- Headers MUST include the community name, trekicontest, on it in some form. Feel free to add additional text related to Trek's 50th anniversary.
Header specs:
- Headers cannot exceed 700 x 500. Anything in between is fine.
- Animation, brushes, text, any caps are allowed.
- All headers must be original.
- Headers must remain anonymous until after voting.
- Submit your headers to THIS post in a screened comment with URL and image.
Community Icon Challenge
RULES:
- You may enter up to 3 (three) icons for this challenge.
- Only members may enter.
- The same cap may be used more than once provided the crop is significantly different.
- Use screen captures or promo/actor images.
- Icons MUST include the community name, trekicontest, on it in some form. Other text to celebrate the 50th anniversary is fine!

- All icons must fit LJ req's: 100 x 100, 40k, and PNG, JPG or GIF format.
- Animation, brushes, text, any caps are allowed.
- All icons must be original to THIS challenge.
- Icons must remain anonymous until after voting.
- Submit your icons to THIS post in a screened comment with URL and image.
ALL entries (headers and icons) are due Sunday, May 29, at 10 pm EDT.
